The Discipleship Pillar is key to the building of the Saints. As an Underling it is vital to be prepared to give a defense of the Hope that we have in Jesus Christ. That is only done through the study of the Word of God!
In Mark 14:40 We find Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane where he went to pray before His death on the cross…vs. 40 says ” And when He returned, He found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy; and they did not know what to answer Him.” As an Underling we do not want to be found asleep and without an answer for our Lord. There are 1440 minutes in a day and everyday is a gift from Jesus! We want to use all 1,440 minutes to the fullest! To do that we must be feeding the new creature that we have become in Christ. Operation 1440 is the discipleship model for Under Over Fellowship and is made up of three components:
1. Personal Daily reading and study of the Word.
We believe that it is the believer’s responsibility to be actively reading and studying the Word of God. Babies need to be fed adults feed themselves!
2. Sunday School/Small Groups.
We believe that community is important so we offer multiple different small group studies on Sunday mornings, as well as throughout the week, for believers to grow together.
3. Walking Together in Christ.
We believe that it is our calling to train men and women to live a missional lifestyle. We believe that this is cannot solely be accomplished in a classroom but must be lived out as we walk through this life together. Encouraging, correcting, and challenging each other to live like the Savior in a lost and dying world!
